Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. It only needs your sex, date of birth, general health status, nicotine use, the amount of coverage you want, and the coverage period. Those six pieces of information are all that's required for the carriers to return rates. Information identifying you and your health history only gets gathered if you decide to submit an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The rates shown are what each carrier quotes based on your selected health bracket. Underwriting by the carrier can confirm, change for better, or change for worse the final rate class. The costs you see here are provided as information only and don't guarantee any specific final amount or approval.

What happens when I click Apply?

When you click Apply, you provide your name and an application is built using the exact quote you selected. It then transfers to the carriers' protected application site. You have the option to pause and come back later, and you'll authorize using an electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, License 0B75129, a licensed California insurance agent, manages your application.

Will I need a medical exam?

This depends on which carrier you select, the coverage amount, and what you report. Carriers offering immediate decisions can approve eligible applicants without waiting for test results. The quote will tell you for each product whether an exam is definitely required, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term length should match the time period when your death would create real financial stress: an unpaid mortgage, kids still at home, a business obligation. Higher term lengths mean bigger monthly costs, but they lock in your rate for a longer period. You can compare quotes across 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, and 30-year terms in our tool.

Does this site sell my information?

Correct. The quote tool doesn't keep names or email addresses. We don't sell, trade, or disseminate personal information, and all analytics are anonymous without cookies. More specifics: check the privacy page for a complete inventory of what's collected and by which systems.
